Acle’s Got Talent 2017

On Friday 24 th February students of Acle Academy hosted ‘Acle’s Got Talent’.

Year Eleven students at Acle Academy organised this event which featured performances from both students and teachers. Dylan Barber, Bethany Blake and Abigail Bruce organised this event, entirely from their own initiative. They had created promotional materials, auditioned and selected acts, ensured rehearsal time as well as staffing the event with stage crew and front of house staff. This event is testament to the wonderful entrepreneurial skills and initiative of our students who have planned an ambitious and professional event.

All funds will be donated to the East Anglia Childrens’ Hospital Nook Appeal. The student organisers feel very passionately about raising awareness and funds of this important local charity. The nook will be a new hospice, aimed at young people with a terminal illness. EACH need to raise £10 million for the new building which will be on one floor, for ease of movement, and will have larger corridors, a hydrotherapy pool and will offer family bereavement services.

Doors opened at 6:30pm and the evening started at 7pm. There was an interval with drinks, food and stalls so there were plenty of fun things for all of the family.

We are very proud of the wonderful achievements of our students in creating such an inspiring event for a worthy cause.
